HBG subsidiary in Wallonia takes over pipe-jacking specialist

Rijswijk / Chaudfontaine, Belgium – Galère sa [part of HBG, Hollandsche Beton Groep nv, and active in Wallonia] has taken over the Liège-based construction company FFK, which specialises in pipe jacking.

The company was founded in 1990, achieves an annual turnover of around €3 million and has a workforce of approximately 25.

Galère and FFK have already been working in partnership for several years on the construction of pipelines and collectors [drainage gullies]. FFK achieves approximately seventy per cent of turnover on pipe jacking and horizontal drilling. The remaining turnover relates largely to water pipe laying activities.

The acquisition strengthens Galère's already prominent position in the construction market of Wallonia.
