Large trailing suction hopper dredger launched

At the end of May, the HAM 318 was launched. The vessel belongs to the largest trailing suction hopper dredgers of the world and has a hopper capacity of 23,700 m3.

The HAM 318 is equipped with two suction pipes, each with an underwater pump, which will enable the HAM 318 to dredge at depths of up to 70 metres. If necessary one of the suction pipes can be extended to a maximum depth of 110 metres. The trailing suction hopper dredger can accommodate 45 crewmembers and will be brought into service in October.
