Nuttall secures £12 million contracts in Wales

Edmund Nuttall Ltd has won four separate contracts in South Wales with a combined value of £12 million.

The contracts involve the construction of a new 1.3 kilometre access road for the Welsh Development Agency/Swansea City Council and the construction of a new slip road onto the M4 motorway for Swansea City Council. The latter connects to the access road and provides the gateway to a new development site at Felindre. The other two contracts involve a colliery reclamation scheme for Rhondda Cynon Taff C.B.C. and a road improvement scheme in Barry for the Vale of Glamorgan Council.

The colliery reclamation site at Coed Ely will involve moving one million cubic metres of material, 200,000 of which is highly contaminated. This particular contract award builds on the recent successes of the land remediation at Bargoed Colliery and the Deep Navigation Colliery near Merthyr Tydfil.
