Rohcon: Building project for the Environmental Protection Agency

Mr. Noel Dempsey T.D., Minister for the Environment and Local Government, laid the foundation stone for the Environmental Protection Agency's new offices and laboratories facility at Belfield.

The Office of Public Works is managing this development on behalf of the Environment Protection Agency. The new building under construction by Rohcon Ltd is sited on the UCD campus and will facilitate close co-operation and mutual partnership between the state agency and the academic research institution.

The 2,300m2 building consists of a three-storey reinforced concrete frame with in-situ suspended upper floors and asphalt covered roof slabs. The external wall cladding is in cedar wood sheeting. Construction will be completed in July 2001.
