Tebodin supports UNICEF

Tebodin has made a donation to UNICEF to commemorate our 65th anniversary. UNICEF is mandated by the United Nations General Assembly to advocate for the protection of children's rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential. UNICEF is actively involved in many projects for the welfare of children in over 155 countries.

The donation was presented to UNICEF ambassador Mr Paul van Vliet by Pieter Koolen on behalf of all Tebodin employees. Paul van Vliet is a well-known artist/comedian in the Netherlands. He has been an ambassador for UNICEF since 1992. In 2001 he ended his professional career in order to completely devote himself to his work for UNICEF.

Tebodin's donation will support UNICEF's worldwide education and water projects.

With its education projects UNICEF supports the development of innovative programs to improve education, recognizing that education is a fundamental human right. Today, over a 100 million young children do not attend school; especially girls. UNICEF puts great effort in making basic education accessible to all children in 2015.

The aim of the water project is 'clean water for every child'. Yearly, 1,5 million young children are dying because of dirty water and poor hygiene. In cooperation with governments and partners UNICEF works on sanitation, sets up training programs about hygiene and realizes water points and water pumps. More information about both projects will be published in the October issue of Tebodin Insight.

Tebodin is proud to be associated with UNICEF.
