Rijswijk – Owing to non-recurring provisions amounting to €154 million, HBG, Hollandsche Beton Groep nv, closed the year 2000 with a net loss of €67 million [1999: €48 million net profit], or €1.92 negative [€1.41positive] per share.

Tampa, Florida – Misener Marine Inc. – a subsidiary of HBG Constructors Inc. – was awarded a $26,546,600 design/build contract by the Florida Department of Transportation to build a 3000 foot long structure and roadway approaches over the St. Lucie Canal, approximately 127 miles north of Miami, Florida, on the Florida Turnpike Toll Road.

Schiedam – The oil company Conoco UK Ltd has awarded HBG Steel Structures – part of HBG, Hollandsche Beton Groep nv – the contract to supply a compression module destined for the Murdoch offshore complex, which is located approximately 180 kilometres north-east of Grimsby in the UK sector of the North Sea. Design and build of the module represents an investment in excess of €13 million.
