Rohcon [the Irish building company of HBG] has been awarded a design and build contract for the National Aquatic Centre. This major complex will be realised on the outskirts of the Irish capital Dublin. The contract value for Rohcon amounts to €62 million. The client is Campus and Stadium Ireland Development.

HBG Civiel is constructing the foundations for the extension to Heerlen's 'Crystal Palace', in the south of the Netherlands. This listed building is to be turned into a cultural centre. The foundation comprises a soldier pile wall of 209 cased screw piles.

Schiedam – The oil company Conoco UK Ltd has awarded HBG Steel Structures – part of HBG, Hollandsche Beton Groep nv – the contract to supply a compression module destined for the Murdoch offshore complex, which is located approximately 180 kilometres north-east of Grimsby in the UK sector of the North Sea. Design and build of the module represents an investment in excess of €13 million.

Nuttall has been chosen as one of seven contractors that will share in more than £400 million worth of flood defence work through out England and Wales. The five-year framework deal will cover most of the agency’s capital construction requirements as well as land remediation.

HBG Construction has been awarded a £6 million contract to provide further facilities at the City General Hospital in Stoke for North Staffordshire Hospital NHS Trust as well as a £5.9 million project to build a three-storey pharmacy building at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle for Newcastle-upon-Tyne Hospitals NHS Trust.

Raulf, part of HBG Bau, has completed the new Tempodrom cultural centre, with its unusual design, near Potsdamer Platz in the heart of Berlin. The project was carried out in partnership with a formwork specialist and a firm of engineering consultants.

Delta Marine Consultants, HBG Civiel's engineering specialists, are working in the American state of Ohio on the extension of a lock complex. With a contract value of almost US$143,500, this is a medium-sized project for DMC. The real feather in DMC's cap, however, is the name of the client: the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Ballast Ham Dredging has been awarded its first contract. In Mesaieed Port, Qatar, a transshipment yard of quarry rock is to be constructed for Qatar Petroleum. The total value of the contract is around €30 million.

On the bank of the River Meghna in Bangladesh, an enormous circular reinforcement cage has been prefabricated for one of the piers of the Bhairab Bridge, which is currently under construction. HBG's UK civil engineering company Nuttall is building this 1.2-kilometre fixed link around 80 kilometres north of the capital Dhaka.
