Bunnik, the Netherlands, 7 May 2019 - Royal BAM Group nv has set a new science-based target for greenhouse gas emission reduction. BAM has committed to reduce the CO2 intensity of its operations by 50 per cent in 2030 compared to 2015. The target has been approved by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and is aligned with the Paris climate agreement. BAM is one of the first companies in the construction industry and joins a limited group of 204 global companies with validated science-based targets.

BAM Danmark plants fruit trees at day care centres in Copenhagen

Copenhagen, Denmark, 3 May 2019 – BAM Danmark (BAM’s Danish subsidiary for general building projects) is marking the 150th anniversary of its parent company Royal BAM Group by planting fruit trees at day care centers in Copenhagen. The Dutch-based construction and civil engineering Royal BAM Group is celebrating its anniversary by planting 150,000 trees all around the world to help preserve the planet for future generations.

Stuttgart, 23 April 2019 - The Board of Directors of Kantonsspital Aarau AG (Aarau Cantonal Hospital or KSA) has selected the proposal of a Marti / BAM joint venture for the construction of the new Aarau cantonal hospital. The ‘Dreiklang’ building concept impresses with its integrating functionality, the clear separation of outpatient and inpatient medicine as well as its flexibility. The ‘Dreiklang’ concept is based on short distances for staff and patients. Aarau is the capital of the northern Swiss canton of Aargau. KSA is the largest hospital in the canton of Aargau and, next to the Swiss university hospitals, one of the largest medical centres in Switzerland. Final project approval is expected in the third quarter of 2019; construction will start in spring 2020. According to plan, the new hospital will be operational in 2024.

Craig Taylor, 37, from Builth Wells, has been taken on as one of four gatemen at the massive £35 million scheme in the very heart of Cardiff.

Construction company celebrates 150th birthday by planting over 5,000 trees in Warwickshire and Worcestershire

Hemel Hempstead, 18 March 2019 - The construction group BAM has started planting 5,500 new trees in the Midlands to celebrate its 150th birthday. Twenty volunteers from the company - which includes BAM Construction, BAM PPP and BAM Nuttall - joined the Heart of England Forest team to plant the first 500 trees in a single day (Wednesday, 13 March). The remaining trees - the majority - will be planted in the November planting season.

BAM donates trees to Euronext at sixty years listing

Bunnik, 12 March 2019 – Today Frans den Houter, CFO of Royal BAM Group nv, opened the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange with the traditional gong beat. The construction group's share was listed on the Amsterdam stock exchange for sixty years on 9 March 2019. Following the gong strike, Frans den Houter offered CEO Maurice van Tilburg and Head of Listing Rene van Vlerken from the Euronext Board sixty so-called one-two-tree-packages, enabling the planting of sixty trees in the Netherlands and sixty trees elsewhere in the world by Trees for All. BAM is working closely with this organisation, which will plant the 150,000 trees, marking BAM's 150th anniversary this year. The 120 trees donated to Euronext will come on top of the previously announced 150,000 trees.
