Record-breaking Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge opened by An Taoiseach
Kill, County Kildare, Ireland, 29 January 2020 - An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, T.D. and Rose Katherine Kennedy Townsend today officially opened the N25 New Ross Bypass PPP Scheme, delivered by the BAM/ ACS consortium on behalf of Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), and Wexford and Kilkenny County Councils. The N25 New Ross Bypass PPP Scheme, which includes Ireland’s longest bridge, the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge, cost €230 million and provides 15 kilometres of road network. The new project will improve flows on the strategic Cork to Rosslare corridor and will ease traffic in the often-congested New Ross area, with travel times reduced by up to 30 minutes.
